> ROMP! 2011
ROMP! 2011 was an awesome success! On 2 July 2011, we saw a total turnout of close to 1100 participants and 450 volunteers gathering at CCAB (Evans Road). The mega sports event featured three sports, namely basketball, soccer and tchoukball.

Our Guest-of-Honour, Mr Lawrence Wong, Minister of State, Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Education, together with the President of Harvest Care Centre kick-started the event with a grand opening ceremony. It was also our honour to introduce the new and rising sport, tchoukball, to Mr Lawrence Wong.

> Karaoke Competition

Our first-ever karaoke competition held, it turned out to be a display of talent kings and queens! The judges were amazed at the voice quality, confidence and poise of the elderly folks who took part in the competition held on 9 April 2011. Even the audience was totally immersed in their singing. With handmade drum roll sounds from the volunteers, the results were announced for the top three winners. “I really didn’t expect myself to win the first prize as this is the first karaoke competition I joined. I used to tell my family that I’m the worst singer among them. Now I can go and join other karaoke competitions outside!” the pleasantly surprised Mdm Ho Guan Mui exclaimed in Mandarin.
