Ms Jennifer Koh | Learning Zone Consultant
Ms Jennifer Koh graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Mathematics. Upon completion of the Postgraduate Diploma in Education at the National Institute of Education, she specialized in teaching Mathematics at the secondary school level for more than five years. Thereafter, she pursued a career in youth work after having been a voluntary youth facilitator since her secondary school days. Subsequently, Jennifer joined Harvest Care Centre and was involved in pioneering Learning Zone @ Clementi. Having worked with youths and children for more than fifteen years, Jennifer believes that every young person has the potential to excel. Her desire is to impart long term values to her students besides helping them to achieve academically.
 

 

Ms Betheli Wong | Learning Zone Executive
Ms Betheli Wong graduated from Oklahoma City University with an Advanced Diploma in Mass Communications. She was a Design Executive with a design agency, mainly involved in business development and project management.

With a desire to work with youths and children, Betheli pursued a career in full-time youth work and eventually joined Harvest Care Centre. Her passion is to touch the lives of children and youths, especially those from dysfunctional families, to see them achieve their fullest potential in every aspect of their lives.

 

 

Ms Ng Ming Zhu | Student Care Centre Executive
Ms Ng Ming Zhu graduated from Wheelock College of Boston, Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. In her experience as a preschool educator for four years, she has touched the lives of many children through her involvement with them. In 2005 and 2006, Ming Zhu was involved in a nation-wide event, Clean and Green Week, organised by National Environment Agency (NEA). She desires to help children attain their fullest potential through mentoring and educating them.

 

 

Ms Candice Tan | Social Worker
Ms Candice Tan graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Arts and Social Sciences and is a social worker by profession. She has a wealth of experience in social work, having previously been part of the National Healthcare Group. Her portfolio in the hospital included providing emotional counselling and psychosocial support to the individuals and their families, as well as conducting educational talks and support groups. Candice is also trained in crisis intervention.

As a youth worker, Candice has been involved in the developing and running of school programmes and has been actively mentoring and leading youths. She has also led several overseas humanitarian trips to the Philippines, Indonesia and Cambodia. She enjoys being with young people and is convinced that every youth deserves a mentor who believes in them.

 

 

Ms Tia Quah| Operations Manager
Ms Tia Quah graduated from the School of Film & Media Studies (Ngee Ann Polytechnic). Tia has worked on multiple short films where her directorial final year project "Tan Xin" won the Best Short Film Award at the Singapore International Film Festival.

Born with an inquisitive nature, Tia have exposed herself to work in various industries such as Speech & Drama Teaching in schools, publications design and corporate branding in design firm, projects management in events company, to corporate secretarial and communications in a Voluntary Welfare Organisation.

 

 

Mr Derrick Chew | Projects Manager
Mr Derrick Chew graduated with distinction from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications. Derrick is one of Singapore’s prolific short film director and has an impressive resume boasting a career in both the corporate and education front.

On a national level, Derrick has worked on many high profile events including National Day Parade, National Day Rally, ASEAN Law Association, World Bank IMF Conference, Singapore Airshow and the recent APEC Conference.

On the educational front, Derrick taught drama at Fairfield Methodist School (Secondary) before moving on to lead various school programmes for Harvest Care Centre. He also sits on the board of the Fairfield Methodist Schools Alumni Association and is well informed about the current education system.

Derrick was featured in the Straits Times, Lian He Zao Bao, TODAY and Berita Harian for his film works.
